ABSTRACT
I mutamenti a livello globale hanno modificato gli assetti sociali, politici, economici e culturali degli Stati. Ciò ha inciso anche sulla trama degli ordinamenti. Il fattore religioso rappresenta un test importante di verifica di queste trasformazioni. Da qui l’utilità di riflettere sul modo come la disciplina che studia i rapporti tra politica, diritto e religione ha visto cambiare nel corso del tempo il proprio statuto epistemologico e sul ruolo degli studiosi ad essa afferenti.
Global changes have altered the social, political, economic and cultural structures of states. This has also affected the structure of legal systems. The religious factor is an important test of these transformations. Hence the usefulness of reflecting on how the discipline that studies the relations between politics, law and religion has seen its epistemological status change over time and the role of scholars in the field.
