ABSTRACT
L’egemonia culturale dell’Occidente sembra avviarsi al trasmonto e questo declino si riflette anche sulla nozione e regolazione del diritto di libertà religiosa. Dopo avere analizzato le cause di questo processo, l’articolo si interroga sulla possibilità di trasformare il declino in una opportunità di dialogo interculturale e sul ruolo, piccolo ma non insignificante, che il diritto ecclesiastico può giocare in questo contesto.
The cultural hegemony of the West seems to be waning and this decline is also reflected in the notion and regulation of the right to religious freedom. After analysing the causes of this process, the contribution questions the possibility of turning this decline into an opportunity for intercultural dialogue and the small but not insignificant role that ecclesiastical law can play in this context.
